Annapurna Temple

Annapurna Temple

In the Talpukur region of the subdivisional town of North 24 Parganas – Barrackpore, near the Ganges, is a lovely nabaratna (nine pinnacled) temple, similar to the famed Dakshineswar Temple. Goddess Annapurna is honoured in this temple.

The temple’s primary entrance is on the eastern side. The nabaratna temple will be on your right as you enter the gate, and the naatmandir will be on your left. The complete temple complex, which includes six aatchala (eight-roofed) Shiva temples, spans 55 bighas of land and exudes a quiet and serene environment.
